  {what LGCA offers}
While many who attend Little Galilee are regulars, and know "what to expect", we recognize that many of you are new or unfamiliar with the camp.  This section is for you.  We've attempted to give you a picture of what Little Galilee offers at its various sessions.

What Little Galilee Offers

A Christian Environment ...
Our 228 acres provide lots of room for kids to eat, sleep, learn, play, and pray with dedicated Christian adults. The following programs are available. Call us at at 217-935-3809 if you have any questions.

Main Camp ...
is located on rolling hills. Main Camp has three dorms housing up to 180 campers and faculty. Creative and imaginative themes dominate each week of camp with scheduled chapel, Bible lessons, recreation, Missions, Camp Store breaks, Campfire and much more each day. If you like to be with a large group of campers, with indoor showers and toilet facilities, electrical outlets and meals eaten in a Dining Hall, then Main Camp is for you.

Main Overnight and Day Camps ...
are an abbreviated stay for those not quite old enough and ready to be away from home for an extended period of time. Although scheduled to meet the needs for each age group, the daily schedule is similar to the full Main Camp programs.

Wilderness Camp ...
is located in the middle of the woods. Two hogans house 11 boys, 11 girls and four faculty in a semi-primitive camp program. Morning devotions begin each day and “kid friendly” games end each evening. In between time is filled with studying God’s Word and fun outdoor activities. If you enjoy a smaller group and a more rustic setting where you are close to nature, then Wilderness camp is where you want to be!

Outpost Camp ...
is pitched on a secluded ridge. Two authentic 20 foot high teepees shelter 6 boys, 6 girls, and 4 faculty. All cooking is done over an open campfire. Wake up to the sounds of creation, with sunshine streaming through your teepee This camp is truly an intimate experience with God’s creation for those who love to rough it!

Wilderness and Outpost Overnight Camps ...
are an abbreviated stay for those not old enough or not quite ready to be away from home for an extended period of time. Although scheduled to meet the needs for each age group, the daily schedule is similar to the full Wilderness Camp or Outpost programs. These sessions are for those people entering 3rd or 4th grade.

First Chance Camp...
takes place at Main Camp for children entering 4th Grade. This three day, two night stay gives a taste of what it will be like to spend the whole week here.

Junior 3 Main Camp ...
is also a three day, two night stay which is held at Main Camp for campers entering 5th and 6th Grade. If your child is not ready for a full week stay, or if you aren’t ready for them to be gone that long, Junior 3 Main Camp is for you!

Prairieland Cycling ...
is a daily trek for beginning cyclists. Campers stay at Three Oaks Lodge and venture out to a new destination each day before returning back to enjoy all of the camp facilities. Whether you are a budding cycling enthusiast or a young recreational peddler, you will enjoy the sights of Central Illinois and the variety of activities offered throughout the week. This session is for those people entering 7th, 8th, or 9th grade.
